Who we are

At Impact Analytics LLC, we provide the rigorous, scientifically grounded analysis needed to uncover your data's full potential, ensuring every technical insight is visualized and communicated clearly to enable confident decision-making.

Philosophy

  • We don't settle for "good enough." Our methodology, rooted in advanced statistical analysis and machine learning, is engineered to find the most precise, optimized answer to every question. Where others see messy data, we see the hidden variables that drive your success. We identify the few factors that truly matter (through feature importance analysis) and filter out the noise, ensuring that every insight we deliver is actionable, reliable, and backed by proven science.

  • The purpose of data analysis isn't simply to generate reports; it's to create measurable improvements. Our commitment is to translate complex patterns into straightforward, unambiguous recommendations. We don't just hand you a model; we show you the decision that results in increased profit, reduced risk, or optimized efficiency. We transform "what if" into "what now."

  • We are consultants, but we see ourselves as a seamless extension of your strategy team. We focus on integrating our advanced solutions directly into your workflow—making powerful insights accessible to your team immediately. Whether it's forecasting your next quarter’s growth or optimizing costs across different geographic zones, our success is measured solely by the tangible impact we create on your performance.

    Nuclear and Radiological Scientist (Current)

Dr. Fjeldsted leverages his expertise in data analysis to uncover actionable insights from complex sensor data. A core aspect of this role involves clearly and accurately communicating findings and associated uncertainties derived from nuclear and radiological data to key decision-makers.

Ph.D. Thesis on Advanced Analysis Techniques for Gamma-Ray Spectra

Dr. Fjeldsted’s Ph.D. from Penn State University was focused on leveraging machine-learning techniques to improve the accuracy and robustness of isotope identification algorithms. He published numerous journal articles, presented at numerous conferences and was selected as a DOD SMART Scholar. Dr. Fjeldsted also provided administrative support for his affiliated 30-university research consortium and led professional society’s student chapter.

    B.S. in Civil Engineering

Before receiving his Ph.D., Dr. Fjeldsted earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering. While at the University of Utah, he also served as Captain of the lacrosse team from 2017 to 2020. He gained practical experience through an internship with a construction management company, where he focused on performing cost estimates for highway expansion projects.
